Ingredient list
- 2 cups besan (gram flour)
- 4 cups ghee
- 2 cups sugar
- 10 almonds blanched and sliced
- ½ tsp powdered cardamom
Preparation
- Boil ¾ cup of water add sugar and make syrup of one thread consistency. Set aside.
- Heat ½ cup ghee (clarified butter), add besan and roast golden brown, keep on stirring all the time.
- Add the syrup and keep on stirring continuously.
- Heat the remaining ghee (clarified butter) and pour into besan mixture, gradually.
- Keep on stirring. Cook for 10 - 15 minutes,
- pour into a greased plate and garnish with almonds and cardamom powder.
- Cut into diamond or square pieces before it gets stiff.
