Malpua
Ingredient list
- 1 cup flour
- ½ cup whole milk
- ½ cup raisins
- 1 tsp. saunf, fennel seed
- ½ tsp. eno fruit salt
- oil for frying
- 1 cup sugar
- cashew nut, raisin, 1 tsp saunf, chinrongee, almonds,
Preparation
- Mix flour and milk to a smooth batter.
- Add sugar and all the nuts and saunf and eno, add a little water if the batter is too thick.
- Set aside the batter for 15 minutes
- Heat a kadhai with oil on a medium heat.
- Drop one-third cupful batter in the kadhai with the help of spoon. Do not spread.
- Cook for a minute or till the edges can be lifted.
- Turn the pua. Cook for another 30 to 45 seconds and remove from the kadhai.
- Put the pua in a paper towel so the oil can be soaked in it.
