Ingredient list

  • 1-cup rice flakes (poha)
  • 1 onions chopped
  • 1 potato chopped
  • 1 cup green peas
  • 10-15 peanuts roasted.

  •  

    few curry leaves.
  • ½ tsp. each cumin, mustard seeds, and curry leafs
  • 2-3 green chilies
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • Pinch of turmeric
  • 1 ½ tbsp. oil
  • ¼ -cup coriander leaves & grated coconut. for garnishing
  • Salt according to taste

Preparation

  • Wash poha (rice flakes) in water till clean. Drain all the water and keep aside
  • After 5 minutes loosen the poha (rice flakes) gently with fingers, and break all the lumps
  • In a pan, heat oil, add cumin & mustard seeds and put chilies, curry leafs, turmeric, add onion, Stir it and fry till brown and tender
  • Add potatoes, green peas. Now reduce the flame to low till it done then add poha (rice flakes) and all other ingredients. Mix very well.
  • Add salt and lemon as per taste. Mix it very gently.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and grated coconut peanuts and eat warm.

Notes

Serve with hot tea, coffee or shakes.
