Ingredient list

  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ cup whole milk
  • ½ cup raisins
  • 1 tsp. saunf, fennel seed
  • ½ tsp. eno fruit salt
  • oil for frying
  • 1 cup sugar
  • cashew nut, raisin, 1 tsp saunf, chinrongee, almonds,

Preparation

  • Mix flour and milk to a smooth batter.
  • Add sugar and all the nuts and saunf and eno, add a little water if the batter is too thick.
  • Set aside the batter for 15 minutes
  • Heat a kadhai with oil on a medium heat.
  • Drop one-third cupful batter in the kadhai with the help of spoon. Do not spread.
  • Cook for a minute or till the edges can be lifted.
  • Turn the pua. Cook for another 30 to 45 seconds and remove from the kadhai.
  • Put the pua in a paper towel so the oil can be soaked in it.
