Ingredient list

  • 1 cup - Soya granules (store bought)
  • 1 - Onion, chopped fine
  • 3 slit - Green chillies
  • 1 tsp - Ginger garlic paste
  • 2 - Tomato large, chopped fine
  • Mint – a handful of leaves
  • Coriander – a handful leaves
  • ¼ tsp - Chilli powder
  • ¼ tsp - Garam masala
  • 1 tsp - Mustard seeds
  • ½ tsp - Urad dal
  • 1 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • a sprig - Curry leaves
  • Salt – as per taste
    1 tbsp - Oil

Preparation

  • Soak soya granules in hot water for 5 min. squeeze them out of the water completely. Keep aside.
  • Heat oil; splutter mustard seeds, urad dal, cumin seeds, when they sizzle
  • Add ginger-garlic paste, green chillies, till it golden, add onions, fry until onions turn brown and limp.
  • Add coriander and mint leaves, fry till it curls.
  • Add chilli powder, garam masala, and fry till raw smell leaves.
  • Add in chopped tomatoes and salt. Continue to cook over medium heat till tomatoes turn soft and mushy.
  • Add soya granules, sprinkle some water, close and cook for about 5 min mixing in between.
  • Cook till done.
