Ingredient list

  • 1 cup - Rava /Samolina
  • ½ cup - Wheat flour
  • ½ cup - Besan /Gram flour
  • 1 cup - Bottle gourd / Lauki, grate
  • 1 Onion, grate
  • ¼ cup - Carrot
  • 1 inch - Ginger
  • 1 - Chilli
  • 1 tbsp - Til /Sesame seed
  • ½ tsp - Haldi /Turmeric
  • ½ tsp - Jeera /Cumin
  • ½ tsp - Ajwain /Carrom seed
  • ½ tsp - Hing /Asafoetida
  • ¼ tsp - Baking soda 
  • ½ tsp - Sugar
  • 2 tbsp - Corriander
  • 2 tbsp - Oil
  • ½ -  Lemon
  • 1½ - Glass water 
  • Salt to taste

Preparation

  • Grate Lauki, Onion and Carrot
  • Take a bowl and add rava, wheat flour, besan mix well
  • Now add ginger, chilli, til, haldi, jeera, sugar, ajwain, hing, baking soda, corriander, oil, lemon and salt to taste, and mix it well.. 
  • Take a Idli cooker..Add water and boil it…Fill the idli Pan with batter then properly set it…put in Idli cooker or in a deep vessel…and Cover it for 15-20min.
